It was one of those days, wake up, start work, finish work, head home, except for that faithful day ... and a good day too!
As the clock strike 5pm, I immediately locked up my workstation to catch the bus to head home. Somehow, I felt the need to head home immediately to lock myself at my apartment for a nice soothing hot tea, seated on my comfy sofa and just stare into the early evening skies. As I walk towards the bus stop, I saw no crowd, yet, goodie! Not more than 2 mins later, the minibus arrives and double goodie! it's empty, or so I thought.
As I stepped onto the bus, 'he' caught my eye. Seated all the way at the back seat, alone, our glances exchanged briefly, I could not help myself but to walked all the way to the back of the bus to seat next to him.
There is a reason why they call it a 'minibus' and that because it is small, both height and width! When I stood straight up, there would only be mere centimetres between the ceiling of the minibus and the top of my head. The same applies to the seats, when seated down, I have to sit sideways as the space between knee and the back of the seat in front of me will not fit unless i sit with my legs SUPER widely apart!
Just justifying why I did not felt ackward for taking a seat all the way at back, right next to him, instead of all the vacant seats in the minibus.
To make it even more obvious, I sat right next to him! As the minibus moved, I took small glances at him with the corner of my eye. Ahh .. he has long legs, this means tall, GOOD. He is young, about my age, GOOD. My, my, he smells nice, GOOD, and he is stocky, BETTER!! Not sure about you, but I like 'them' meaty! ;-)
Darn, he is taking a nap. Bummer. So much for trying to strike a conversation with him. Oh well, I might as well take a nap as it would be quite a while before the minibus reaches my destination.
That's odd, I thought I felt the fingers of his crossed arms touched my biceps?
A quick glance at him, but he is still asleep. Nah! It much be my 'desparate' imagination. A couple of seconds later .. HE TOUCHED ME AGAIN! and CONFIRMED lah! I turn towards him and smile, but wait, what liao! he is still sleeping .. or isn't he? Hmmm....! Let's test it out... by crossing my arms like what he is doing and used my fingers to touch HIS biceps!
So there we were, touching each other on the biceps, arms folded, yet not a single exchanged of words throughout the bus ride. Would .. would this lead to my FIRST time??? I mean, I have loads of experience, WITH MYSELF, and porn watching, but would I be reacted properly, being my first time, IF it does happens?? My heart starts to POUND!
Soon, it was about to reach my stop but we have yet to make any conversation as all we did were bicep touching while pretending to be asleep. Sigh. Ain't anything is gonna come out of this encounter. Double sigh!
It was packed by the time the bus reaches my stop. I then stood up and made my way to the exit at the front of the minibus, got down, looked back at the bus and there he was, looking back at me from the back of the bus!
As I was about to cross the road, the minibus suddenly stopped and there he was, trying to get off the bus. I immediately took a few steps back and pretend to be waiting for a bus to my next destination but actually waiting for him to get off the bus.
As he walked towards me, I smiled. He said "Do you have a light?", and I said "YES". "Where are you heading off to now?", he asked and I replied "HOME".
He then said "Can I follow?". I smiled, nodded, lead the way and said to myself "YES! I AM GONNA SCORE WITH THIS HOTTIE WITH MY FIRST TIME!!"

Latest on Garmin Nuvi 255w SG/MY
This just came out today, the new price for a Nuvi 255w SG/MY version is at RM699. A whole RM100 off the previous price!
This of course prompted me to do a quick research on their price reduction. From 28 Aug 2009, the same product was selling at RM850. From 02 Dec 2009, it was at RM799!
Hmmm .. still not enough data to gauge their price reduction trend leh. ;-(

GPS
GPS stands for Global Positioning System, and I am about to purchase one. How did it strike my mind? Well, 2 weeks or so prior to CNY, I received my regular email on sales around town from www.shoppingnsales.com and that email was introducing a ... SALE .. on GPSBay E668XP gadget at RM499 (a RM300 savings offer for all shopping & sales subscribers). Naturally, it caught my attention.
Imagine 'NEVER EVER GETTING LOST' with a gps in your car!

Like in one of the earlier James Bond movies where the super sexy car James was driving, spoke and caution James to "turn left now, TURN LEFT NOW!!" as he was trying his level best to trick his chasers into a drain or off a cliff or something. Imagine how cool it would be if my car announces the same, minus any one chasing me with their car! ;-)
Fast forward, automobile GPS is now the next best thing, a gadget in your car to make road announcements instead of your car ITSELF making the announcements (actually there are such cars, a super premium car with a built-in GPS -duh-)!
Unlike an impulse buyer, I make sure that I do my research before I proceed to buy, a case of still-an-impulse-buyer-but-delays-a-few-days-or-weeks-before-buying, that's ME!
Search, search, search and I discovered that the more sought after brand of GPS in Malaysia is Garmin, follow by locally produced brand like K-One, GPSBay and such. What are the difference? Well, the key function is the maps they operate on. The frequently used ones are MalSing Map (a free map portal) and MapKing (one which you need to pay a fee to subscribe). Naturally, the free one is not as up to date as the pay one la!

The screen size range from 3.5 inch to as big as 5 inch, or bigger. The price? from as low as RM499 to as high as RM2000+! Now imagine buying a branded Louis Vuitton wallet and a local brand wallet with the price difference of RM100, which would you buy? LV of course!!! and to conclude, that is the same with a Garmin (read LV) and a say GPSBay (read local brand). No prizes for guessing which one I will be purchasing. ;-p
So, with a price comparison, the lowest of range from Garmin, a 205w series, 4.3 inch screen and slim, is selling at RM599 (see la ... RM100 more from GPSBay's 3.5 inch screen) or the 255w series at RM799, same screen size, same slim-slim, the only extra is the 'lane assist / junction view' feature, which technically says 'turn left at Jalan KasualChat' instead of the 205w which announces 'turn left at 500 yeards'!
What liao, RM200 extra just to announce the road name!

As you age
Its Chinese New Year. God knows how many times (I know the exact numbers, just refused to acknowledged it)I have celebrated it todate! Like clock work, I can even lay out the exact 'itineary' from the eve of CNY onwards ...
Eve - dinner at mom's. i wait at my place, she calls when dinner is about to be served, i drove over (6 mins or less), sat down and shout KONG HEE FATT CHOY!!, starts dinner and 30 mins or maybe 45 mins later, I self pat on my bubble butt and leave
Day of CNY - same thing, wait for mom's call for brunch to be serve, drives over, start with offering of tea with numerous auspicious greeting sentences to mom and dad, eats brunch - vegetarian food only, while eating, mom hands over the ang pow, 20 mins later, leaves.
Rest of CNY while on leave - laze on my bed or sofa or arm chair, dvd permanently switched on, occassionally takes a nap, wake up, more dvds.
Today, 30 mins ago, was checking my fb and discovered a post that says, Caecar Chong has passed away due to lymphatic cancer! Just like that, at 36. Struggled a few month, then pass away. What the ... ! May he rest in peace.

And as my title goes, as you age, you get to see more of such 'passing', sigh .. like what the chinese saying goes ... SUNG, LOW, BANG, SAY (read it in cantonese) ... but WHY??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just can't wait for the day when an eternal potion is created! ... with youth extracts too!

2010
Here we go again ... another year, another new digit, another wrinkle .. darn! Resolutions? Does it even works? Motivation .. perhaps.
Resolutions, I have ... let's just self wait.
Meanwhile, my condo's living room is bare. Donated my 2 + 3 seater sofa a month ago ... hmmm ... perhaps now is a good time to repaint the walls!
